Port St Joe

A lot has happened since our last post.  I think I ended with “we eat at Joe Mama’s Pizza tomorrow”.  If you are a pizza lover like we are, you do not want to miss eating at Joe Mama’s.  We walked to town and ate with Vicki and Bob. They have a fabulous salad to share and wonderful pizzas.

The same day David discovered that our dinghy was on its last leg. After studying on the situation (whether to fix or not) the decision was reached.  It is time for a new dinghy.

Saturday Sandy and Dan came to PSJ in their boat Some R Lovin’.  They are on the last leg of their Great Loop Cruise.  They will cross their wake at Marker1 Marina in Dunedin Florida. That is where they started their Great Loop adventure. We discovered that we were both heading to Marker1 and decided to be buddy boats when we cross the gulf.  More about The Great Loop later.

Saturday was also laundry day, wash the boat day, and visit the Pig for groceries.  We also went to CVS for a few items.  Port St Joe Marina is in walking distance to everything.  Plus everyone who works in the Marina are so nice.

That night we had drinks on s/v Liza.  Everyone swapped stories and had a good laugh or two.  The evening ended with the blowing of the conch horn.

Dinner for us was ground sirloin patties, rice and gravy and spinach salad. Pretty tasty.

Windy and rainy weather expected so we have decided to stay until it is past.

St Andrews Marina- Pensacola

Our sail to St Andrews Marina was nice.  We arrived around noon and got fuel. Great price.  Sunny hot day. After showering we were ready to explore. And we were hungry. We ate at Uncle Ernie’s.

Delicious fresh sautéed shrimp with all the trimmings.

WE EXPLORED AROUND THE WATER FRONT. HERE ARE SOME SCENES FROM AROUND TOWN.

AT THE FARMERS MARKET BELOW  WE GOT SOME YUMMY VEGGIES
